extraReducers + matchers
React chapter 81 · RTK · extraReducers · source: reduxjs/redux-toolkit/packages/toolkit/src/createSlice.ts
The problem
Logout lives in the auth slice. The cart still has items because cart only listens to cart/* . Cross-slice cleanup becomes a thunk that dispatches five resets, or a god reducer.
The pattern that fixes it
A slice owns its state, but extraReducers can match other actions — logout, a thunk.fulfilled, isAnyOf(...). The cart clears itself when it sees auth/logout. That is not coupling of stores; it is a declared reaction.
